Is Lasik permanent?
In most cases Lasik is permanent but in some rare cases it is not. There are some followup procedures referred to as a LASIK enhancement that can be done to adress these more uncommon issues. A second Lasik procedure is sometimes necessary if refractive errors were not corrected during the initial procedure. Most surgeons won’t perform a second procedure unless it’s been at least 5-10 years after the initial procedure
Is Lasik painful?
Your eyes will be nummbed before the procedure so it is know as being painless. Patients have reported very minimal pain following the procedure. Even after the numbing drops wear off any discomfort is mostly non existant.
